Biography

Sonia Lewis is a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #139919) with over 20 years of dedicated service supporting youth, families, and high-need populations throughout the Sacramento region. Her expansive clinical background spans forensic assessment, acute psychiatric care, residential treatment, and community engagement. Sonia currently serves as a Mental Health Counselor conducting forensic and court-ordered assessments for Sacramento County, while also providing individual and family therapy as a Social Services Clinician at Heritage Oaks Hospital.

Sonia earned both her Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento. Throughout her career — which includes four years as a Facility Social Worker at Paradise Oaks Youth Services and key positions leading teen parent programs and school district family resource centers — she has specialized in crisis de-escalation, diagnostic evaluation, and cross-system collaboration.
